What is Anima?

We are introducing Anima, a communication platform that allows you to seek medical advice and submit administrative queries to your GP practice online. This will replace the existing ‘eConsult’ system.

We are adopting this system to:

• Ensure patient’s get the right care at the right time
• Make the best use of clinical time
• Reduce telephone waiting times

Appointments can still be booked over the phone for the practice nurse and phlebotomist, or if you have difficulty using the Anima system.

How does Anima work?

Once you have an Anima account, the online form only takes a few minutes to complete. Following a review of your form by a member of the practice team, you will be contacted with advice, an appointment or signposted to the most appropriate service. We aim to respond as quickly as possible and therefore Anima should not be used in a medical emergency.

How to sign up with Anima

Go online to Anima Health

To create an account, enter your email address and click on continue with email. If you already have an NHS account, you can also select continue with NHS login and use your existing login details. You will be asked to verify your personal and GP practice details when you first login. Once you have completed this your account has successfully been created.
